30 Hours Funded childcare

Eligibility

This is available to working parents of 3 & 4 year olds from the term after their child’s 3rd birthday. As a term time provider we offer this over 38 weeks of the year. You can check eligibility for the 30 hours through the Childcare Calculator.

Applying for 30 hours

Parents can apply for 30 hours funded childcare at the same time as Tax-Free Childcare, via the Government Childcare Service website. If you are eligible you will get a childcare account and a code for 30 hours free childcare. We will need to see this code along with your NI number before we can apply for 30 hours funding on your behalf.

30 hours funding is only available from the start of a funded term. Term start dates for funding purposes are:

Autumn – 1st September

Spring – 1st January

Summer – 1st April

You need to ensure that you apply for and receive your eligibility code before these dates to be able to use it for the upcoming term.

Visit Surrey Family Information Services 30 Hours Funded Childcare to find out more about 30 hours funded childcare.

Tax-Free Childcare

We are registered to accept payments through Tax-Free Childcare. This is available to working parents, including self employed. It can be used before your child turns 3, and once they turn 3 it can be used with the 15 hours and 30 hours schemes. It can’t be used at the same time as Childcare Vouchers, Universal Credit or Tax credits.

Visit Childcare Choices to find out more about Tax-Free Childcare.

Applying for Tax Free childcare

You can apply for Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours funded childcare, via the Government Childcare Service website.

If you are eligible you can use this account to make payments to the nursery. You will need to let us know your payment reference so we can match it to your invoice.

Reconfirming Eligibility

For both the 30 hours and Tax-Free Childcare, parents must update their details every 3 months. This can be done by logging in to your Government Childcare Account.

If this is not done on time you will not be eligible for tax free childcare and 30 hours funded childcare until you next reconfirm.

Childcare Vouchers

We are registered to accept Childcare Vouchers from the major providers. This scheme is no longer available to new applicants and has been replaced by the government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme. We are still accepting vouchers from parents that were registered prior to the closure of the scheme.

Existing members can get more information about the 2 schemes here.
